WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION

WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION: Meet our narrators, New Orleans natives, Harold X. Evans and Donna Duplantier and hear about the genesis of this tour.

DIRECTIONS: We begin the tour in the French Quarter on the banks of the Mississippi River on the Moonwalk, a riverside promenade that was created in the 1970s. You can reach the Moonwalk from Jackson Square via Washington Artillery Park, with its elevated plaza. You can climb the stairs or take the ramp on either side.

Walk towards the bank of the Mississippi River, look both ways before your cross the rail road tracks. Stand on the banks of the river and press the button below labeled SITE 1. The Beginning - The New Orleans Slave Trade, and we will begin our journey.
